Clinical Specialties: After I received my Masters Degree in Pastoral Theology in 2003, I became interested in more intensive pastoral care, particularly how to accompany people in pain and focus on encouraging them to have hope. I applied to Philhaven’s Clinical pastoral Education Program (CPE). Happily, I was accepted. The year long CPE journey was a tremendous stretching experience. Philhaven is truly a holy place. My work with day hospital pre-teens, adolescents--both inpatient and residential, adult inpatient and adults in the extended acute unit is an incredible blessing. I am grateful.
