Currently, the program reaches Lebanon County and nearby areas. It includes a physical space in Philhaven’s Grace M. Pollock Training & Community Center and the potential for video conferencing of presentations.
Four key components that can impact resiliency related to ASD are: knowledge/ information, effective coping skills, a support network and resources (both access and utilization of resources). In order to uphold these key components, we have developed these three important program areas:
- Education/Information Series: A three-part presentation on the Basics of autism, autism through the life span, and accessing services and supports. Each runs one hour, followed by discussion time. They are open to anyone interested in learning more about autism.
- Promoting Healthy Coping Series: We offer two components in this series: Autism Parent Training and Sibling Workshop
- Community Connections: We have a goal to build a support network that is community supported. This includes community and provider presentations and trainings.
For more information or to register for these presentations or trainings, and to learn how to help with community connections, please contact us.
