Philhaven offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities in many geographic locations. Philhaven provides services in Lebanon, Lancaster, Dauphin & York counties. Each program at these sites has defined supportive roles for volunteers. Philhaven is always looking for passionate individuals to share their time and talents with our organization. No one skill is too great or too small. We are looking for individuals who have interest in our patient care services as well as our non-clinical programs.

Are you a person with a desire to work with people? Someone who likes to make a direct difference in the lives of others? Maybe you enjoy art, music or theatre arts? Cooking, crafts or reading? Maybe you have a knack for mentoring, providing guidance, connecting with people, or maybe you have a great listening ear or can draw on personal experience which allows you to relate well to others. If any of this describes you, then you may be a perfect fit to volunteer in our patient care programs like the Day Hospitals, Inpatient Units, After School Programs or Residential Services.

Eligibility Criteria

You must be 18 years of age or older to apply for volunteer placement. Upon completion of an application, volunteer candidates will be processed by an interview to evaluate each prospective volunteer’s interests and skills as well as receive general orientation. All volunteers are required to have a TB test completed before starting a volunteer assignment.
