In times of a life-threatening emergency such as when an individual poses an immediate danger to self or others, call 911. While the Philhaven Access Center is available 24 hours a day, we are not equipped to send emergency personnel or services to your location. If you are unsure whether the situation is a true emergency, please call 911 and allow the call-taker to determine whether you need emergency help.

Programs and Services : For Children & Adolescents : Family Based Mental Health : Funding Source

Funding Source

To qualify for Family Based Mental Health, the child/adolescent must be MA (Medical Assistance) eligible and enrolled in Health Choices. There is no out-of-pocket expense to the family. Please visit the PA Department of Public Welfare website for information on eligibility and how to apply.

Since the application process can be rather cumbersome, Philhaven’s Community & Family Liaison Mindy Hilyard may be contacted at 717-475-4242 by families that need assistance with the process. In particular, a call is recommended for families who have a child that qualifies due to a severe emotional disorder.
