In accordance with our mission of promoting hope, healing, and wholeness, the goals of the Child & Adolescent Residential program at Philhaven are to:

• Provide individualized, culturally-relevant residential psychiatric treatment for each youth near their community so that the family and community may actively participate in the treatment process.
• Provide an intensive, multi-level treatment environment designed to promote skill and goal attainment for residents who have experienced multiple treatment failures.
• Provide 24-hour supervision and a highly structured, treatment-intensive, non-inpatient environment to enable the youth to develop a level of functioning that will allow a safe and successful transition to less-restrictive, community-based setting.

Boys Campus West Residential Treatment Facility
Our program for boys has a maximum capacity of ten residents, between the ages of 11½ and 21, admitted to the program at any one time.

Girls Campus Residential Treatment Facility
Our program for girls has a maximum capacity of nine residents, between the ages of 12-21, admitted to the program at any one time.

Length of Treatment
The length of stay (LOS) will usually range from 6 to 12 months.  The length of treatment will be tailored to meet the individual's and family's needs.

In our Short Term Residential Programs, the expected length of stay (LOS) is a maximum of 4 months.  Should a resident not be able to achieve the identified treatment goals within this 4 month timeframe, this will be reviewed by the resident and her treatment team to discuss continuation in the program.
