Activities in our residential programs include:
- Intensive therapeutic structure and implementation of the behavioral management system;
- Crisis intervention;
- Promotion of a therapeutic community and culture of peer support;
- Structured individual time for residents to review progress on weekly goals;
- Individual and group support and instruction in activities of daily living;
- Assistance in identifying and utilizing positive behaviors and skills to accomplish these goals;
- Therapeutic groups and activities during the week including topics such as peer relationships and affirmation, social skills, conflict resolution, self-esteem, goals identification, spiritual issues, and anger management, relaxation and stress management, problem solving, affective regulation, and communication;
- Community-based treatment, skills training, and structure involving therapeutic activities into the community which provide residents the opportunity to develop and utilize psychosocial skills and functioning outside the program setting;
- Structured personal time for residents to use to complete therapeutic assignments and school assignments with individualized attention from the residential counselors;
- Medication assistance to the residents and monitor and document residents' responses to medication;
- Assisting residents in the transition to and from the school and community;
- Therapeutic support for the emotional challenges of individual residents; and
- Transportation of residents to therapeutic activities and health-related appointment.
