The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities is a behavioral health program focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral, social and emotional problems in individuals with developmental disorders. Since opening in 2005, the Center has been striving to address the need in our area for one location where families can benefit from a team of professionals with expertise in developmental disabilities. Services are provided to individuals of any age. Care is given not just to the patient, but to the entire family to support them throughout the changing needs of the life span.
Evaluation: Families are offered evaluations focusing on diagnosis and on treatment planning. Evaluations are offered from the disciplines of psychiatry and psychology.
Treatment: The Center offers treatment in an outpatient setting. This consists of individual therapy for adults and children, family therapy, and medication management.
Team Approach: Optimal evaluation and treatment requires a team of individuals working from a variety of disciplines. The Center’s clinical team includes individuals from the disciplines of: psychiatry, psychology, social work and applied behavioral analysis.
Getting an appointment: Families or individuals interested in services should call 1-877-203-2233 or 717-735-1920.
Given the high demand for services from the Center, individuals desiring evaluation or treatment will be placed on a waiting list.
The first appointment will be an intake meeting with a staff member to assess the needs of the family and individual. Recommendations for evaluation and/or treatment will be made at that time. Prior to this appointment, families will be asked to complete and return an informational packet.
As the Center currently has a waiting list, anyone in crisis or needing immediate attention is advised to call Philhaven directly at: 1-800-932-0359.
Insurance: The Center accepts most insurance plans and medical assistance.
Due to insurance coverage restrictions, individuals who are receiving family-based services or mobile therapy may not be eligible for services at the Center.
Future: The Center is continuing to create evaluation and treatment services that are meaningful to the families it serves. Information regarding these services will be updated on an ongoing basis.
